About the author:
Gina M. Maisano is a New York resident and two-time Breast Cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with the disease in 2001, and was treated with a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. In 2007 she was diagnosed with breast cancer a second time, and was treated with a bilateral mastectomy, reconstructive surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.
