I am new here and had a vaginal hysterectomy in July due to
excessive and prolonged bleeding following the birth of my last baby 3 1/2 years ago. I would bleed anywhere from 4-6 weeks and once bled for 13 weeks. I also had to have bladder repair done. Ihave both of my ovaries and am somewhat thankful for that although I have PMS with nothing to show for it.
My hospital stay was quite uneventful aside from a couple of rude nurses things went according to plan. I did get a UTI after surgery that required me to stay for one more day.
My oldest son (10) once asked me what PMS was and I told him it was the few days before a woman has her period she gets a little "*****y" he said Mommy you must have a lot of periods.......SMACK!

Looking forward to getting to know each of you.

Cheri
