I just stumbled upon this site and haven't read anything entirely, yet. I'm not sure how the other stories go but here's my story...I had my complete HY on August 29th. Too much disease didn't give me any choice except of what day to have it on. The only thing that stands out in my memory of that day are the rooms that I got wheeled past on the way to the surgical room: they had "welcome new baby" posted on their front doors! I was on the same floor with all the new mothers and their babies! With all the emotional stress I was already under, I had to endure more by being with those new moms. If you haven't had your surgery yet, ask your doctor where you will be located as opposed to the new moms. It could save you tremendous grief!! God bless you.
