I would like to tell you that I am not a nutritionist. I have studied a few courses about nutrition. The information I provide here works for me.

I have tried slim fast type diets, cutting calories to under 900 calories, diet pills, the grapefruit diet, fit for life, counting calories, fat grams and proteins, food replacement bars, supplements and nothing has really given me the satisfaction I have been looking for. Pamela Smith rolled into my lifein the following way.

I am a personal trainer. I specialize in teaching clients how to work their body most efficiently and safely and I deal with mostly overweight people.Ê I took a correspondence course that really gave me a heads up on what I was headed for. It was called the Calburn Lifestyle program.I studied it for about 8 months and as I studies I came to the conclusion that what I had been learning about nutrition was right on.

I was looking for something that was affordable. A friend loaned me a book by Pamela Smith called Eat Well Live Well. As I looked through the book I saw it was the same principles that I had been learning about with the Calburn program. So I decided that I needed to buy the book for myself. Once IÊ found the book, I saw that PamelaÊ Had many other books. One of which was a Study book titled Food For Life A day At A Time Guide Ê A 30 journey for individuals or groups. So I bought it. I also ordered the Book Food For Life that goes along with it.

Just so that you are not surprised, I have to tell you that Pamela is a Christian and the study guide has many bible references in it and she asks you to read certain bible passages. I am so certain that this is how we were intended to eat. I know how different I feel since I have started eating early, often, balanced and lean). These are principles that Pam teaches.

If you are having difficulties making your goal, please consider reading this book. I assure you you will come away with a healthier attitude about food.

As there is a tremendous amount of information about nutrition I will not even attempt to put it here. I intend to keep updated information about what I believe is a healthy, way to live.

Weight Loss Issues

Whatever your goal of the moment is-- losing weight, , controlling overeating, gaining weight, eating healthy-- the goal is to learn to get your body to work for you and with you. You are free to be well; you need only to choose to eat well. Your perspective about the way you live and eat is what you need to change. And it needs to change for life.

It is time to forget about dieting. How many times have you heard that line? What you need to do is learn how to eat! Now doesnt that sound better than learning to not eat certain foods. Abstaining from food?

Starting today you can retrain your mind to stop dieting. You and I both know you have tried numerous approaches to losing weight.Ê Have you lost weight and kept it off? For how long? Did you eat healthy and retrain your brain to change a lifestyle of improper eating habits?

Lets work together to help you get your body, mind and soul happy and healthy. Losing weight is a challenge. Being healthy is not. Our bodies naturally crave the foods they need to regenerate. We only need to know what to do and put our minds to it.

Going on starvation diets or high protein diets or high carbohydrate diets or total supplemental drinks is making the task at hand much more difficult. You are ruining your metabolism.
