Hi Ladies I'm 9 weeks post TAH/BSO and feeling very well. I was not the typical patient facing a hysterectomy to correct bleeding and pain, since these symptoms were controlled with the pill. I only agreed to surgery after sonar revealed a sizable fibroid (later found to be calcified} over the tubule leading from my kidney resulting in hydronephrosis. There were at least 5 other fibroids growing in or on my uterus. My surgeon was truly patient and professional. Surgery was scheduled around hubby's grad school break, work, etc. I don't remember anything between the pre-op area and returning to my room. Post-op care was great, including regulated circulation booties (my favorite} and a cheap date with Mr. Morphine Pump. Mr. Morphine rolled out of my room before noon the next day and I got some even cheaper Percoset and big nausea. I thank God for dear family, great staff, my pastor, Andrea R.N., Hystersisters, my many friends, belly binders, and pillows. Sincerest best wishes to all from RUNCMD.
