OK, I am humbling myself to tell this story. It was so "Hyterectomy Hysterical"
Second day of post-op I was popping Gas-X like M & M's. They were not working as the package promised. The nursing staff at the castle said that I could'nt eat solid food util I passed gas or had a BM. I was hungry!
One of dearest friends came in for a visit and I was whining to her about the gas and the pills not working. She shared with me a story her Great Aunt had passed on to her. As it goes, after her Aunt had her Hyster (20 yrs ago) her gas pains were so bad that she got up out of bed and got into a an all-fours kneeling position, butt way up in the air and this helped her expel excess gas.
Later that day....I was desperate okay. I slowly rolled over onto my side and assumed the "position". Just as I got up there, got my breath back, and got ready for the 'moment', I heard, "Ms Pulaski, are you alright?" I looked out from under my arm pit and there he was, a new intern. Mind you now, I was in a hospital gown, facing the door. The look on his face was priceless. I layed back down with an "oh, Hell" and he tried to examine me but had this grin on his red face the whole time. After he left, I laughed so hard I needed oxygen.
My friend I shared this with (the one who shared her Aunt with me) wanted to know how the intern recognized me by my rear end. When you think about it, this is almost as funny as the look on his face.
