Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Laura who lived a normal life, was active, and loved by a very special young man.( Her prom date from high school! ) Laura married her prince, and life was good for a time. Then, things gradually began to change. When Aunt Flo came to visit, she began to stay longer, and longer, and soon, it seemed as if that wench would never leave!! Laura gained weight every month that Flo visited, and no diets seemed to help.Doctors said they couldn't figure out why there would be such problems. Birth Control Pills! Several Doctors cried! That will fix what ails you! These pills made Princess Laura become the witch of the west, and after several head spinning around excorcist type moments, Princess Laura gave up looking for a fix. After 10 years of pain and suffering, Laura and her Prince decided that a family would be a wonderful addition to their blessed life. A visit to a doctor, and finally, a diagnosis of Polycistic Ovarian Disease, made Laura realize that a baby would require work, and dedication on her part. She diligently visited the doctor every month, made love on schedule as required, and wondered through the land of infertility like Moses in the wilderness, though for her, there were no answers in sight. Things got progressively worse, and life for Laura consisted of periods that lasted months instead of days. After 7 years of wondering through the evil land of infertility, Laura discussed a hysterectomy with her new Doctor. After the office visit that day, through her tears, Laura found Hystersisters, and she read and read and read. She realized that she was not alone! Many women have the problems that she had been so ashamed of for so many years! Laura's visit to the Castle to become a real Princess was scheduled for Halloween, and though she was apprehensive, she had so much knowledge about what would happen that she felt calm and prepared to meet the king. Laura did well through her time in the Castle. She was a model patient, and is now on the road to a full recovery. Though Princess Laura is still very sad that she will never have her own little princess, she knows now that this was a very good decision for her and she's feeling much better!
