Hi,

I had my surgery TAH on 10/31/00. I am now at 6 weeks post-op and feeling pretty good. My surgery TAH due to fibroids and 14-16 week size enlarged uterus, went well. The doctor was going to leave my cervix but he found when he went in that there were cysts on my cervix, and so my cervix and uterus have been removed, but my ovaries still remain because he said that they are fine. I am so grateful for that. I was nauseated the first 4-5 days after surgery, and I was scheduled to have general anesthesia but I had the epidural which again, I am so grateful that I did have that. I did have a fever the first 2 nights afer surgery but I felt okay even with the temps they were 101.2 I have been home now for 6 weeks and doing great. I just had my 6 week post-op exam today and the doctor says I doing very good. He did find that I have some granulated tissues--something like, which was in the top of my vagina and he put some silver nitrate on them to take care of it, but he will keep an eye on it. Can someone explain this a little more in detail. My husband and I are enjoying our physical intimacy -- which I was afraid of indulging at first, but now it I have found it to be fantastic. I feel better than I have in the past 10 years prior to my surgery. Oh yes, my pathology report came back saying that everything was benign.
