no problems as a young woman.married when I was 23 to a control freak.2nd year of marriage started having terrible pain that would come and go and some light bright red bleeding during the pain. I would beg my husband to take me to hospital but no go.I was in college taking my finals,when the pain came again.I passed out in class and an ambulance took me to the hospital.I was scheduled for immeadiate surgury.The diagnosis was a tubal pregnancy that had burst it is unheard of for a tubal to go as far as mine did (4 mon)and as it turned out I also had a uterine pregnancy going on as well.They said they would try to save the uterine pregnancy but were unable to.I very nearly died on the table as I had massive internal bleeding and needed a lot in the way of blood transfusions.The case was so unusual that the dr. wrote a paper on it. The dr told me that i may never have children.This surgury started a lifelong battle with pelvic inflamitory disease and chronic adhesive conditions.post operative complications led to a divorce as I was now damaged goods.He did,nt want me anymore.10 yrs later I met a man who wooed me for five years and then married me in a ceromony on a beautiful mountain top in colorado.He is the one who helped me decide on a hyst.He knew all about the pain and anguish I had about not being able to have children and said that our stepson sure needed all the mommy love i had.DH loves me and could'nt stand for me to be in pain any longer.The decision was made.I do not regret my decision although I would have done anything to have a child with this beautiful Korean man I love.My stepson is of caucasin/korean heritage and is the most beautiful child. I would have loved to given him a sister or brother.we may still pursue adoption.I am still slowly recovering at 7 weeks.I have been having complications but even so I still think I made the right descision.Any doubts I had about that were cleared up by the path and surgury reports It was just a horrible mess in there. I am glad to be free of worry of cancer of the reproductive organs.Im going to pray for a pain free life so I might be able to help other in my chosen field,optometry.....And we lived happily ever after.love lass also known as mrs coleen shin.
