I had a TAH in 3/03 & BSO this past Tues., 9/28. My recovery from the TAH was very good and I expect an excellent recovery from the BSO also. But the diff this time will be HRT. But that's another forum. I had my TAH due to endometriosis and fibroid tumors, my ovaries were healthy so they were left intact. Approx. 8 mos. after surg. I began feeling pain again & a cyst had formed on my right ovary and began hemorrhaging. Thus the BAH. I found out post-op that my left ovary was very scarred also, which doesn't surprise me b/c I had began to have pain on the left when my pain had always been on the right. A good friend of mine told me about Hyster Sisters over dinner a week before surgery, (and that same friend had a crown and magic wand sent for the HS store & it was waiting for me when I got home from the castle !), I wish I would have known about this site for my TAH. It has been a wealth of info and comradery that I have appreciated & will continue to appreciate from now 'til forever. I have told others of the site and plan to tell my OB/GYN about it post-op and ask her if I can post a flyer in her office telling others of you wonderful gals. I cannot put into words how much you all mean to me and to see the posts from all over the world warms my heart beyond words. Thanx from Indiana.
