I just found this website and am fascinated by all the wonderful stories that I have read. Mine is quite dull in comparison to some but I'd like to share. I, too, dealt with painful periods, fibroids that had to be removed along with a fallopian tube several years ago. I had my complete H. last June along with an abdominoplasty. I figured "what the heck" why waste the anesthesia and operating room..let's kill two birds with one stone here. As luck would have it, it turned out to be a good idea. The tumor they took out of me was the size of a football and had stretched my abdominals to the point where no number of daily crunches would ever bring it back to anywhere close to flat again. I have had no regrets about the surgery and am thoroughly enjoying not having a period anymore. I do have some concerns about hormones, though and am still trying to get a handle on the right combinations. The hot flashes still come and go and I'm experiencing a lot of joint aches & pains. Has anyone out there had any similar problems?
