Prolapsed uterus and bladder tack.....My hyster story

I have 3 children which caused my prolapsed uterus and my bladder to fall as far as it could go. Since my last child who is 10 yrs, I have had problems with my periods. I also had a tubal litagation after the 3rd child. The last 3 and half yrs. I had to go on birth control pills to control the periods. Without the pills I would have a period every 2 wks. The bladder was also leaking bad enough to
have to wear a panty liner every day. I turned 40 this yr. and my dr. had been saying for years that as soon as my quality of life got bad enough I would choose surgery. I was tired of the problems and decided to have the surgery in Aug.

I had a vaginal hyster. and bladder tack on 8/23/99. I was lucky to keep both ovaries. The surgery went well and execept for having to wear my catheter for 4 wks, and thinking I was never going to pee normal I had an uneventful recovery. For me it was the best thing. No periods and no bladder leakage. I also found this site. Which has been a blessing. There is wonderful and helpful
information on the site. This is my story and one of many you will read about. I hope all recoveries goes well and everyone is in my prayers.....Marcia
