Jeanne's TVH

I had a TVH on 11/19/99. I was scared to death about having the surgery. I had scheduled it 3 months in advance. As the time grew nearer, I thought about calling it off. I went through with it and am glad I did. I work for the doctor who did my surgery. I did get alot of extra TLC because of this. I was
never in any real bad pain. I went home the next morning after my surgery.

The worst days were the first two after I was home. I stayed in bed most of the time and took the pain pills. Some days I felt so good, I almost forgot I just had surgery. But those days when I over did I sure felt it. I'm now almost 5 weeks postop and still get tired. My belly is still bloated at times. I've been told by friends that it took them 6 months to feel really back to normal. I would say that this whole experience has been positive. I'm glad I was able to have the
hyst vaginally and I do think that it is easier this way. I had uterine prolapse.

This site has helped me alot. I never found it until after my surgery.
