My new Tiara was fitted on 12/21. I am wearing it proudly......LONG
I had a LAVH/BSO on 12/21. It was I think the first "normal" surgery I have EVER had. (This was my 7th or 8th female surgery. However the most extensive of them all). It went off with out a hitch. Thank you all for your prayers!
Here's My Crowning Story
I went in a 5:00 AM on the 21st. DId the "cleaning" jobs required for both ends.Took a shower then got into my pretty hospital gown. BTW: I did go to the hospital in my robe and house shoes!!! LOL I was warm, cozy and most of all comfortable!
Shortly thereafter the nurse came in and took me down to the holding tank. I was supposed to go in at 6:45 but they took me early. The nurse there got the IV in the FRST time!!! I have small veins and it usually takes SEVERL tries and I wind up with bruises all over my arm. She did it the first time. It was great.
Next, my Dr. came into the OR to talk with me, I remember us discussing how cold it was in there. THe anesthesist said he would give me something to warm me up. Next thing I knew I was in recovery waking up.
Dr. said she got everything, and everything else looked fine. She was however concerned about my left ovary. It looked abnormal. SHe said enough that if I had not been removing my ovaires that she would of taken this one anyway. (Must of been pretty bad). She had it sent off to pathology but we won't know
anything until next Monday. I told her that I was ovulating on that side that very week. SHe said that is was still more than ovulatory inflamation. So, we will wait and see .
I was back in my room by 9:30 AM. I was not allowed to get up the rest of the day. Everytime the nurses came in they had to empty my catherter. THey all said I had good output.
Next morning about 5:30 they removed the catherter. FIrst time up to tinkel, I
couldn't. But the next time I did. WHOOPEEEE!!!!! Haven't been so excited over
going to tinkle in the potty since I was what 2 or so??? LOL Plus... I did not have hardly any bleeding!!! THe pad I had on the nurse removed and could not believe it. I've only worn one or two since then. (FOr precaution, on the way home.)
About 9:00 they removed my PCA pump and began givng me oral meds. I was able to take a shower, then shortly after that I walked down the hall (a couple of doors worth was all) with dear hubby. Sat in the rocker and rocekd for a while. THen slept. Repeated the whole proces all over again minus the shower. About 3:00 Dr. came in again, said I could go home or stay one more night???? HUH, let me think here??????? I was out of there with in the hour.
I am home and recouping GREAT! I have a wonderfull Hubby and 2 great daughters taking EXCELLENT care of me. ABout the only thing any of them will let me do for myself is..go to the bathroom!!!!.Oh yes, and take my meds. I am now on Premarian 1.25. SO far so good.
I do walk daily around the house, I have been out down the driveway twice. ANd over to our neighbors driveway and back once. Plus I rock some everyday. Nurses said this was good for the stomach muscles. I drink LOTS of water.
It took me two days being home before I have my first BM. but it was okay. Still on stool softeners. WIll be for two weeks I think DR. said.
I know the Lord took care of everything. Just as he will with the path report on the left ovary. He is in control of it all. I praise him, for you all and most of all. For my dear hubby and daughters.
Just a note of praise here, again, Lord blesed me with my hubby 15 years ago. He came into this marriage knowing I already was having female problems. Way back then. He has always been there for me, stayed with me, Helped me, Held my hand, hugged me, catered to me, (been in pain with me he said.) I just
could not of made it throguh all these female problems with out his strength and love for me. I know that he too would say, it was of the Lord.
Thank all you "sisters" for your prayers.
To all you LIW. Waiting is TRULY the hardest part.
Love to you all.
