I had my TVH July 20th....just three days ago. My experience went very well, even thou I was very, very nervous before hand.
I walk often, ate smaller portions a few days before, did the bowel cleansing the evening before and walked until about 9:20pm that evening prior to surgery. The walking helped reduce the stress for me.
I had requested no morphine from my physician prior to the surgery day and made my requests clear again once I was at the hospital that morning. Everyone was very kind and respectful of my wishes........
surgery went well, uterus and fibroids out.......kept ovaries.....

It's only three days post-op and I wanted to share my positive experience with you! Be sure to drink plenty fluids, do the bowel prep, walk, eat smaller portions, etc. I also recommend sitting-up as soon as you can to promote healing......it really made a difference for me!! I was able to come home late that same evening!!
