My TAH became to be so much more then my self & my doc expected.

My original date that I posted was 10/21 which was postponed to 10/24 due to a schedule conflict.

I was metally prepared for my big day thanks to this wonderful sight. I couldn't have done it w/o you all and all the stories I read to prepare myself & educate myself a little. Thank you so much. The overall surgery went well and just about 2 hrs under. I was reccommend to have my surgery a year ago after the early delivery of my third son due to multiply fibroids and heavy bleeding. We did not do it at the time of my C-sec due to other life problems with a move out of state, so she said to have it done within 6 mths. Again, I put it off as long as I could to wait for my son to be a yr old & to be done breast feeding. My doc now scheduled it with my blessings that it was the best thing to do for me. Recovery was not so bad, more uncomfortable then painful. My big surprise was once the lab results were returned, we found that my cervics was full of cancer.

My doc had no idea and could not explain why we did not know this before. He said my last pap should have told us something. I had Squamous intraepithelial lesions (SIL) also referred to as carcinoma in situ, noninvasive cervical cancer. Can you believe it?? That fact that we went in for the fibroids & ended up with a cervics of SIL was a big shock. Yes it is all out, it was contained only to the cervic and completely out of my body.

Swelly belly, headaches, itching, ect. It has only been 5 days and today I feel good but real tired. I am just counting my blessing and God for making it easier on me to get this thing taken care of with one stone. Hystersisters has been an angel in many ways for the last few months.
