My name is Sharon. I live on the east coast and am attending college to become a social worker. I want to work with the elderly or in a hospice. I have a big heart for animals. I ride my own Harley and do needlepoint when I can. My Dh and I got married in 2000, and we have 2 dogs and 1 cat.

I found HysterSisters though an online friend who I met through my struggles with endometriosis. I started having symptoms of endo from the time I was 13, and was on many different types of birth control pills until I was diagnosed when I was 20. I have had 4 laps and one laparatomy. I have also tried lupron, depo provera, danocrine, and many bcp. I had a lot of success with naturals. I had my TAH/BSO on 3/28/2006. I did try HRT, but had many side effects, and now I'm using naturals to control my menopausal symptoms.

HysterSisters inspires me because of the wealth of good information and help from members. I learned a lot about my surgery beforehand so I didn't feel so alone. I want to return the help that I was given, and hopefully be helpful to any one who I speak with. The best advice I can give is if you think something is wrong, question it and don't stop until you get an answer.
