 I had terrible endometriosis, my Dr. thinks from puberty on. It finally got to the point where the pain was so bad, I was taking morphine at the office to cope.

We tried hormones both pills and shots. Finally, the hysterectomy was scheduled for May 28, 2001. We had/have a nursing job action in BC, but I was lucky and had my surgery anyway!

When my Dr. did the surgery, he found that the endo had spread to almost everywhere in my abdomen and to my cervix as well. Had a TAH with both ovaries and cervix removed.

Five weeks post-op and think that this was one of the best decisions I ever made. My recovery has been swift, with great support from both friends and my husband.
