Hi sisters,
Well I finally had my TAH after all the suffering I went through for many years I think I made the right choice. Well on 11/01 my surgery was at 12:30 pm. I arrived at the hospital at 10:30 am and I was so nervous it was my first surgery ever! Well I think the anesthesiologist(sp?) knew how nervous I was and gave me some kind of amnesia med. so I don't remember anything like being prepared for surgery boy I don't even remember giving my husband the last kiss before surgery. Then I woke up in the recovery room with pain, not too bad. After I woke up I stayed there for about 20 min. and moved to my room. I had a private room which was very nice. My nurses were all very nice. My doc. came in to see how I was doing I thought that was very professional of his part. He told me everything went well. The next day they took the catheder out and my bladder was not cooperating. I had to have in put back in I thought it was better. Because I could not pee I had a low fever. It went down when the catheder was put in.They pulled out the catheder on Saturday, and I wanted to come home already but didn't until Sunday. I have been feeling good.
I have this site and all of you to Thank. I felt lost, confused and sad, when I joined this web-site it helped me so much before the surgery and after. Again thank you for having such a great place.
