I was dianosed with endometriosis in October 2002 via laprocopy. After suffering for so many years in horrible pain I finally had a diagnosis. I was so happy and felt better with treatment. In January 2004my pain started to come back and after numerous other treatments I had another Lap in Feb 2005. Again I was doing well until May 2006. Had another Lap in Feb 2007 and truly believe that I would be ok but by May i was in horrible pain again and about to go crazy. I finally found a doctor who would even consider hysterectomy in July. I talked to him about it and at first he was against it and I was fighting with my insurance company to approve a new medication for treatment. Well, I lost my job (circumstances beyond my control) in August and applied for medical assistance through the state and was accepted in October. I went in to see my doctor and he said he was waiting for approval, called his office a couple days later and they said you are having surgery on November 20, 2007. So, it all happened so quick and there I was recovering in the hospital. I feel so much better now than a week ago. I had heard about Hyster Sisters from and Endo support group I belonged to and here I am. Although, I am only 29 years old and have no children, I know that I made the right decision and will be healthier from it.
