Well I have to start off by saying I am 29 years old and if someone would have asked me years ago if I would have seen this happening I would have said they were crazy. I have always had horrible periods since I was 13. They were debillitating. I was on the pill for may years which helped but then I stopped it because my doctor had switched it. I was never regular and would sometimes not even get my period but when I did forget about it. At 21 I became pregnant. Unfortunately my pregnancy ended in a stillborn daughter. It was devastating. After that my doctor who knew my history told us to try to get pregnant right away. well after a few months we were pregnant again and considered high risk and had to go to a specialists for testing. The doctor told me I had Lupus Anticoagulant. Which basically I had to go on blood thinners for my pregnancy. I had a really hard pregnancy but my son was born. After that my body went crazy. It was even farther between periods and I would have long spurts of bleeding. One doctor actually had the nerve to tell me it was normal to bleed for 45 days straight. It was sos bad I couldn't even get up because it was like a waterfall. They almost had to put me in the hospital. Well finally a friend reccomended a really good doctor who put me on norethedrone because i can't take the pill anymore since they found out I had a clotting problem. So I got sick of taking the hormones and still having the problems so i went to two doctors who reccomended a hysterectomy. I decided it was a good idea with the support of my husband. Well I had a laporascopic hysterectomy done in December 15. I had a total melt down leading up to it but oce it was over i felt a lot of relief. I'm not saying it wasn't painful but it gets better every day. Don't let your nerves get the best of you. I made myself sick with worry but in the end it was o.k. I'm not saying it's aneasy decision but you have to think of your quality of life and for me I couldn't go on with how bad it was.
