WELL TWO YEARS AGO I STARTED BLEEDING 2X A MONTH FOR 7-10 DAYS.MAY 2001 I STARTED HAVING BLEEDING 3X A MONTH FOR 7-10 DAYS.WAS SENT TO A GYN DR. UPON GOING THERE IN JUNE HE DID PAP SMEARS AND I HAD ALREADY HAD A CATSCAN OF THE ADOMINAL DONE.I TAKEN THE RESULTS WITH ME SHOWING CYST.ON BSO.OK THE GYN SENT ME FOR AN INTERNIAL ULTRA SOUND.TO SHOW JUST HOW BAD THE PROBLEM WAS.AFTER THIS HE SCHULED ME FOR A D&C AND LABSCOBTMY ON JULY 13,2001 SAME DAY SURGERY OK COMPLETED THE BLEEDING WAS SUPPOSE TO STOP WITH IN A COUPLE OF DAYS.MEAN TIME I WENT FOR A SECOND OPINION.RESULTS WHERE THE SAME EXCEPT SHE MASHED IN MY NAVEL AREA AND STARTED ME BLEEDING WORSE.I CALLED THE GYN AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED HE TOLD ME TO COME IN I DID AT THAT TIME HE SAID I HAD A HERNIA THERE.HE SCHULED MY SURGERY FOR EVERY THING THEN.I WENT IN AT 6 AM. ON 8/16/01.WAS PUT IN THE ROOM TO BE PREP.FOR OR.THE NURSE TRIED TO PUT IV IN AND WENT THREW THE VAIN INTO THE BONE.WHICH SENT GREAT PAIN UP INTO THE BACK OF MY NECK.SHE GOT MAD WITH ME BECAUSE I SCREAMED OUT AND SAID THEY CAN DO IT IN OR.THEY DID.SPOKE WITH TWO OTHER DRS. THAT WOULD BE HELPING MY GYN IN OR.THEN TO ANTYTHESIAT WHO I TOLD I DID NOT WANT THAT GAS MASK AS IT MAKES ME VOMIT.HE SAID OK .HE TOLD THEM THE OR.HAD TO BE WARMED UP SOME IT WAS TO COLD IN THERE FOR ME.I THOUGHT IT FELT GOOD BUT HE WAS WORRIED ABOUT OTHER THINGS THAT COULD GO WRONG WITH ME SINCE I HAVE HAD TO BE PUT ON A RESPERATOR BEFORE DURNING SURGERY. SURGERY WAS COMPLETED I WOKE UP IN RECOVERY AND EVERY THING WAS FINE.I HAD TOLD MY DR AHEAD OF TIME I DID NOT WANT THE MORFIN PUMP I WOULD PREFERE SHOTS OR PILLS FOR PAIN IF NEEDED.I WAS TAKEN BACK TO MY ROOM WITH AN IV,&OXYGEN.
I SLEEP MOST OF THE TIME THAT DAY WHEN THE NURSES WOULD LEAVE ME ALONE.THAT NIGHT I WOKE UP IN PAIN BUT COULD DEAL WITH IT.THE NURSE CAME IN AND TOLD ME TO PUSH THIS BOTTON IF I HAD PAIN I ASKED HER WHY I WAS PUSHING A BOTTON SHE SAID MY DR. ORDERED MORFIN PUMP FOR THE PAIN.NOW I'M MAD I ASKED HER TO REMOVE IT RIGHT AWAY SHE TOLD ME NO.IF I DON'T TAKE THAT I WAS NOT GETTING ANYTHING FOR PAIN SO I TOLD HER I WOULD DEAL WITH THE PAIN THEN.THE NEXT MORNING THE FIRST NURSE WAS BACK THAT HAD ALREADY MESSED UP 1 IV. SHE CAME IN RIGHT AWAY SHE WANTED TO FLUSH THE IV IN MY HAD WELL GUESS WHAT SHE BLEW UP THE VAIN AFTER SHOOTING SOMETHING IN THERE 3X.SO NOW I NEED A WHOLE NEW IV AGAIN.MY DR CAME IN I TOLD HIM WHAT WAS GOING ON HE SAID HE DID NOT ORDER THE PUMP AND TOLD THEM TO GET IT OFF STAT.HE ORDERED SHOTS OF DEMERIAL EVERY 4 HRS. FOR PAIN.NOT UPON REQUESTED.THE NURSE STATED NO ONE READ HIS ORDER. THAT THEY ALWAYS PUT THIS PUMP ON BECAUSE IN NEW JERSEY PAIN MANGEMENT IS A LAW.BUT HE WAS ORDERING ANOTHER TYPE OF PAIN MANGEMENT FOR ME THAT IS WHY I DIDN'T NEED TO REQUEST THE MED THEY WHERE SUPPOSE TO GIVE IT EVERY 4 HOURS NO MATTER WHAT.8/17 I WAS TAKEN OFF CAFETER AND COULD GO ON MY OWN NO PROBLEM HE ORDERED LIQUIDS FOR BREAKFAST,SOFT FOODS AFTER THAT.8/18 THE DR ORDERED REG.FOODS AS MY BOWELS WHERE WORKING FINE ALSO.I WAS UP WALKING HALLWAYS READY TO GO HOME BUT BLOOD PRUSSURE WAS TO LOW.8/19 HAD ALL I COULD TAKE DR DID NOT COME IN I HAD NURSE TO CALL HIM HE RELEASED ME AND HAD TO GO INTO OFFICE THE8/20 TO REMOVE STAPLES.DURNING THIS WHOLE STAY NOT ONE NURSE WOULD HELP YOU UP.THEY TALKED TO YOU LIKE YOU ARE TRASH.THIS HOSPITAL STAY WAS A EXPERINACE I WISH ON NO ONE.I'M NOW 5 DAYS POST OP LIVE BY MY SELF AND I'M DOING GOOD.NO THANKS TO THE NURSES AT THE HOSPITAL.
