 I had my abd hyst on Friday am (it is Tuesday here in NZ) and just arrived home from hospital. Apart from incredible tiredness I feel OK.
Had a GA then woke up in the surgical ward. I had scratches on my face...might have gotten out of control under the anaesthetic?? I had 2 days on the morphine drip and got up on day 2.
Had shots in my thigh twice a day to prevent blood clots and took oral painkillers. Also had these massage things on my calves to prevent clots (loved them).
Had to have anti nausea IV as felt quite sick.
Had BM yesterday which was celebrated by myself, patients and staff..Hilarious how we all know we're we're all at.
Looking foeward to recovering at home. very nervous about going back to work in 5 weeks...will I cope ???
