Hi Girls

I have just arrived home today from my hysterectomy, on Friday 13th lol. Not as bad as I was expecting.

My story is a little different from most, I didn't have heavy periods but started having problems urinating and later having bowel motions. I went to the doctors thinking it was a prolapse but after scan was found to have large fibriods, my uterus was around the size of 16 weeks pregnant.

Had a fantastic surgeon very easy to talk to and made me feel well at ease. Had surgery early arvo Friday and had a local block in the wound and morphine pain pumb for first night. Had a good night with a low level of pain in the morning had a shower and got all nice and fresh only to throw up all over the place lol.

The most pain I got was from wind once I had a bowel motion in the early hours of Tuesday morning they stopped.

So sitting at home now with the telly on thinking of doing nothing much, good luck to all of you, hystersisters was a great source of information for me and also hearing all the other girls stories.
