I am 52 and never in my life had I even been IN a hospital! I have had brilliant health all along. The minute I turned 50, it has been downhill all the way. I got hammered with women troubles.
So, I went to the hospital appointment and half way thru all the talking and answering questions, and blood work, I wanted to see my Surgeon - to cancel. My beating and anxious heart just couldn't take the stress anymore!
My dad was with me at this point, and I put him thru it. Well, we got to the place before surgery and they were all around my bed, calming me down, etc. But I started to hyper ventilate so bad and told them to get me out of this dang place - and I mean now! I was absolutely hysterical and petrified.
The anasthesy guy came by and I remember nothing, NADA, Zilch!!! until I came to with someone saying my name over and over...I was in a private room, and my dad was sitting on a chair. I was so sore, and he called for the nurse, who showed me how to pump morphine into me, every ten minutes for the pain. (heh-heh)
I couldn't eat, sleep, and was as happy as a pig in 'you know what."...All I told them for the next 28 hours was how lovely my bed was, and how comfortable the room was, blah-blah...(lol) Man, I was way up in some heavenly cloud!
Hee-hee...
So, what I will tell any of you is that I am the world's biggest baby, who has a ZERO pain threshold...and I am doing just fine.
Believe me, I would have hated to have ME as a patient on HYSTER DAY (lol)
