One of my friends recently told me she was going to have a hysterectomy, I was the first person she told, even before she told her family. She knew that I had, "been there, done that" which is probably the reason for talking to me first. Her fear was real, it is scary to face this operation if you are uninformed so I told her about this site and encouraged her to start reading.
I feel so much better mentally since I have had my TVH. I no longer worry about bleeding, I do not feel exhausted and everyone keeps telling me I look so much better than I did in May '09 (my surgery was June '09)
I have only had one major set back and that was shoulder surgery in Dec '09. I can tell you the shoulder surgery and rehab is much worse that TVH.
For all of you looking for support and information, you have found the right place. This site is a God sent!
