I am 4 days post-op now. I am so encouraged about the results of my lavh. I am 43 years old and already rejoicing in my decision. After suffering with painful irregular periods my whole life, my doctor finally suggested lavh as an alternative to the continual discomfort.

Being a Christian I give credit first and foremost the the Lord Jesus Christ for bringing me through with such flying colors. However, I do want to also give credit to the gifts given by the LORD to my doctor. Researching your doctor and perhaps talking to other health care professionals about his reputation is of utmost importance. Over and over while I was in the hospital I heard that my doctors patients do so much better than the patients of other doctors. I can say I have had many laparoscopies and had horrible gas pains, but with my lavh I did not experience the first gas pain. I was in the recovery room for not much longer than a half an hour and back to my hospital room by noon. I was home the next day by noon. I have been blessed with just discomfort that was eased by sleeping on the couch and propping up. No real pain

I am so thankful and expect a wonderful recovery and a great new lease on life with NO PERIODS!!!!!! I have been blessed with a successful surgery. Be encouraged, pray, and research your physician.
