Went in for DaVinci robotic assisted surgery yesterday Feb 14th.

Surgery was at 7:30am. I got there at 6am, filled out various forms, and then went to pre-op room. Spoke with anesthesiologist and she and my surgeons said no to a spinal with twilight so I ended up getting general anesthesia.

I HAD bad endometriosis and my female organs had adhered to my bladder and colon. The surgeons were able to break the adhesions and got my uterus, ovaries, tubes out. I kept my cervix. They also removed many adhesions and did an endoscopy to make sure there were no perforations to my bowel and since there was endo on my ureters also checked that bladder and ureters were still working correctly. They were.

Got out of surgery after about 4 hours and went to recovery. Was sick to my stomach a couple times but that is typical for me. They then gave me some stronger anti nausea meds to calm this down and they worked.

Went to my room and was sore but started walking around 7pm the night of the surgery. Had a catheter that they removed shortly after I was able to walk. Then I spent the one night at the hospital.

Feeling even better now than just a few hours ago. So glad I finally got this done.

BTW, bring Gas X. They make Gas X strips that melt in in your mouth like those listerine strips.
