I am 3 almost 4 weeks out from my hysterectomy. I had a baby at the end of February and things were going good untill she was 1 week old, I began hemorrhaging, After 5 trips to the ER, multiple blood transfusions, a D&C, and exploratory surgery, my doctor discovered my uterus had become attached to my abdominal wall via adhesions and I had some internal bleeding as well. The decision was made to do a hyst. The day of my hyst I had been in the hospital for 4 days, I was running a temp of 103.6 when they took me down to surgery. i felt horrible. I had the daVinci procedure done. First day was rough, but after that it has gotten better. I would not do it any other way. Recovery has been really quick. I have some soreness and occasional weird pains but other than that I feel good. I have been cleared to go back to work and I start back tomorrow night. I have had a difficult time adjusting to not being able to have any more children but feel lucky to have what I do. And I'm glad to not be hemorrhaging anymore.
