Sharing from Tilly:

Dear sisters,

I want to share a positive decision I made last year a few months after my hyster. Like many here, I am grieving the lost opportunity to have children.

I do feel luckier than some as i have experienced 5 pregnancies and i have carried a baby near to term. Sadly, i had a placental abruption and she was stillborn and that is another story. The others ended in miscarriage.

I decided to sponsor a child overseas.

I requested a girl and also asked for indonesia. For $32A a motnh, i am fostering a little girl called Marwa in Indonesia. I have information about her family and life, a photo of her and I hae received a letter from her. All this lifted my spirtis and helped to heal my heart some and made me feel I was doinf something good for somebody less fortuante that myself.

This year, i am planning to write more regularly and I have sent some little gifts for her and the famliy. the whole village benefits from my contribution too. Maybe I will meet her one day. I can feel my heart lifting as I write here.

This is one way to have a little child in our hearts, there are plenty waiting for help.

Note: HysterSisters suggests Compassion International as one agency available to sponsor a child.
