Hi Hyster sisters. I am so thankful for this web site. You have all helped answer my questions and make a decision. I had never heard of of adenomyosis until November. I am glad there is a reason for my pain, I was afraid my Dr might not find anything in the Lap. My period will start this week and I hurt, and I know it will get worse as the week goes on, we have tickets for a concert on Friday.

The first web site I found, sold a book called "Hysterectomy:The ultimate rape" . Well that wasn't what I wanted to hear. It has been great to read posts from so many women who said it was the best thing they ever did. Thank You!

My Dr said he thought my utrerus was about 7-10wk pregnancy size and he could do a TVH, leave my ovaries. He said I would need a 4-6 wk recovery, My mother-in-law had a TVH 25 yrs ago and went back to work in 1 wk! she said she probably should've taken 2! She was a teacher. I am a RN and work 12 hr shifts and have help 130- 300 woman with epidurals move. I am still deciding how much time to ask for, I haven't asked my manager yet if there is a non lifting/moving position for me temporarily. How much time do you ladies think I'll need before I can move heavy patients?
