I am almost one year postop hysterectomy, Oct 26, 2011 will be one year. Over the last couple of months I have started having cramps again, I am tired ALL OF THE TIME, I have no sex drive, I'm grouchy and have gained probably 30 lbs. (I'm afraid to check how much). Any suggestions?

Reply by Keita Sakon, MD

If everything is gone, I'm not sure why you are cramping. If you had endometriosis and have ovaries, that could still cause pelvic pain.

It could also be adhesions or scar tissues.

It could also be originating from other organs in the pelvis such as instestines or bladder.

I would try to focus on "associations", i.e. what causes pain, what makes it worse/better, and go see your doctor to discuss possible causes/treatments.
