Hi all. I love this site. I would like to let you all know that I am thrilled about my recent total vaginal hysterectomy. I had surgery 12-12-01. I had my uterus (totally retroverted onto my colon, enlarged, soft), along with my cervix. Both ovaries are still there and in perfect condition. I am 28 and mother of three. I had some trouble post-op, I developed infection, probably at the cite of vaginal cuff, stayed in a couple extra days. I experienced a very uncomfortable and painful first week of cramping and painful urination. Now going into my third week, I have good days and bad days. I still find myself getting somewhat fatigued. I too have the "thinking I can do everything again", syndrome. It is very important to listen to your body when it tells you to stop. I have no regrets in choosing to have this done. I was scared right before surgery but everything ended up fine.

Thank you all for the helpful info!
