Hello sisters, I'm new here. I'm 3 weeks TAH post op. I'm healing quickly and moving around pretty freely. I stopped taking the narcotic pain medicine a week ago due to the constipation they caused. I have managed very well with Advil only. The constipation is still an issue but Miralax does help.
The hospital stay wasn't too bad. My husband kept visitors away and hovered night and day to make sure I had everything I needed. Once at home he and our retired assistant dog, Norma Jean, continued to care for me. The husband was considerably more help as there wasn't much need for the many shoes and socks the dog brought me. Both are sweeties!!
I feel better 3 weeks post op than I have for years in the "female" department. Im looking forward to full recovery so I can ride my beautiful horse on the trails this year.
