Ask A Doctor

It has been six weeks since my surgery. By the evening, around 5pm, I start getting really gassy and nauseous and have no appetite for dinner. I really have to force myself to eat something healthy. Please advise.

Reply by Geoffrey Cly, MD

Your symptoms could be acid reflux, as this happens many times from the stress of surgery. However, it is possible something else is going on so I recommend checking with your doctor.

Hope this helps, Dr Geoff Cly
