Girls' Night Out before Hysterectomy

From the Pre-Op Hysterectomy Articles List

Schedule time with girl friends before hysterectomyBesides all the medical stuff and preparing my home, what can I do to prepare myself for surgery?

Happiness and a sense of well-being play a role in your health. So as you prepare for your hysterectomy, be sure to spend quality time with your girlfriends who can lift your spirits and make you laugh!

In the days leading to surgery, schedule time with your closest friends. Relax and talk about the good times over a luscious meal. Go see a chick flick or sappy musical that only true girlfriends would appreciate. Stroll through the mall, window shopping, and snacking on food court fare. Plan a picnic, brunch, or coffee date where you can just sit and chat.

A trip to the salon for a new hair style and make over is always more fun with friends. Though you need to check with your doctor first, pedicures and manicures with your dearest friends could lift your spirits and help you feel gorgeous inside and out.

This might be a good time to go through old pictures, dig out old camp movies, and look through high school yearbooks. Together, you could rehash old memories and make new ones while creating scrapbooks of old times.

Whatever you do, just have fun! Your girlfriends have been with you through thick and thin. Quality time with them during the stressful days of preparing for surgery are just what the doctor ordered!
