I am now at 8.5 weeks post op. I am 43 and have 1 ovary. I wanted to post this so others have hope for recovery. I would say the first 3.5 weeks were rough. I was very tired, had lots of pulling and pain. I overdid it a few times and paid for it. Christmas was tough but I managed through it. I went back to work at 4.5 weeks and was exhausted and sore. But, but almost 6 weeks, it was if I had turned a corner.

I am no longer in pain (a rare twinge or soreness near incision sites is about it) and I have my energy back. Orgasms are awesome - haven't ventured back to sex yet but that is coming. Not having a period - OMG so wonderful

During the early weeks, I really was sad. I thought I would never get better, I was tired of being tired and in pain. But that is all over now. I feel good!!!

Please as you are going through your healing process, don't give up. The early weeks are hard. But I promise if you are good to yourself, if you rest and take care of your body and let it heal, you will feel great too!
