Hello to my fellow and I love my crown and wear it with pride!!!! I was scheduled outpatient on 9-17-02 and 8:30am. I went in, within 5 minutes I was taken back....put one of those lovely peek-a-boo gowns on, urine sample and taken to pre-op bed. A lovely sweetheart of a nurse came in took temp, blood pressure, put cuff on index finger, and told me the anesthesiologist would be in soon. She(american) walked in asked me if I had any trouble with anesthesia and I told her my nightmares with nausea and vomiting. She set the fears to rest telling me she would pull all out of the arsenal. I felt relieved. I can honestly say for the nerves I dealt with the weekend before surgery I was so calm now it was amazing!! I definately felt God's Grace presence in the room and so comforted. I told her I had read of ZOFRAN and wanted this- she said absolutely and I would have an anti-nausea patch on when I woke from surgery and this would remain behing my ear for 24 hrs. I went home with it and until it came off I had NO NAUSEA!!!!! On and off since then but I believe its my body's way of telling me- I am hungry, exhausted or in alot of pain. Then IV started (easy), front shave, bonnet and off I went. All went well and going into surgery we knew I had reasons for chronic pelvic pain but no definitive diagnosis. I came out of surgery with 12 full color pictures(GROSS)and diagnosis was some endo, fibroids, bladder adhesions, small bowel adhered to my back. Whew!! He said I would feel lots better but that my recovery would be the 6-8 week range not the 4 week range we hoped for. I was given an estrogen shot before leaving. I also pee'd on my own 5 minutes after catheter was removed and home by 5pm same day. Sounds crazy but it was good for me. My hubby is awesome and so wonderful. Yesterday I decided I didn't want any more Percocet and Toradol so survived the day on Motrin alternating with tylenol. Last night I did take a percocet at bedtime- my lower back skin and vaginal area was hurting so bad and cramps in front pretty bad. I am doing pretty good and would recommend this to anyone. I'll keep you posted. Love, Julie-
