 I had a tah. I was hooked up to a pca. The morphine made me very sick. I was throwing up every three hours until all the meds left my body. It is quite painful with a million stitches across your stomach. After they took out the cath and I was getting up every hour to go to the bathroom. The lovely nurse came in and said you need to get up and move around or you can get pneoumnia I told her I was getting up every hour to go to the bathroom. I was never so happy to come home. It has been 11 days since my surgery and I understand about do not push yourself.
