Hello, my name is Madonna, my friends call me Moe. My story (nightmare) began 6 years ago when my husband and I got married. We immediately started trying to concieve. After awhile I noticed my pain I was having was getting worse, so went to the doc and was told I had to have a Laporoscopy. When I got out of surgery I was told that I had numerous cysts on each ovary and there was alot of scar tissue wrapped around each ovary and growing off of them too. I then started going thru all the infertility junk, which didn't work. Had to have a second Laporoscopy a year later for more cysts and scar tissue. After 3 years of surgeries and trying to concieve, I was told I had absolutely no chance of ever concieving without invetro. My tubes were badly damaged. It was very hard to accept. My husband has no children, I have a daughter from a previous relationship. It was exspecially hard because my husband (Pat) is so good with kids. He accepted my daughter (Tricia) who has Cerebal Palsy, no questions asked, and treats her like his own. So now after three more years, I went in on June 29, 2000 for another Laporoscopy, which didn't go well, I had too much scar tissue around my belly button, he couldn't get the camera in. So I was scheduled for a Laporotomy on July 25th. I came out with an 8 inch incision and had my left tube removed and half of my right ovary. I had 2 cysts on my left ovary, which he drained and a blood filled one on the right. So here I am now, waiting to be able to do things again and hoping I don't have to have anymore surgeries. The not being able to lift is the hardest part. I hate sitting here watching Pat have to do all the lifting with Tricia. She is 5'4" and 114lbs. Pat is only 110lbs. I'm sorry this is so long.
Hugs,
Moe
