The Princess and the Task
Once upon a time in the Land of Hyster a beautiful punctured princess opened her mail one day to find an invitation for the King's presence. "Hear ye! Hear ye! You, Punctured Princess Cindy are hereby invited into the presence of the King for a special task. Please come at your earliest convenience and present this card to the guard at the gate. Signed, The King".
All in a twitter, the princess immediately put on her favorite gown of purple, adjusted her crown, and fixed her hair into a lovely do. Hurrying through her house, she arranged for a ride to the castle gates. She bustled as fast as she could to get ready immediately because after all, the King wanted her to visit! How often does a person get a special invitation to see the King?
Her ride pulled up in front of her house and out the door she flew, holding her pillow over her tummy for comfort and protection. The ride seemed so bumpy along the way and yet her pillow was so soft and fluffy that it buffered any aches and pains that she might feel. Smiling at the blue skies and watching the clouds overhead, the princess journeyed on towards the castle. In no time at all Princess Cindy was stepping out of her carriage and standing before the guard.
"I have an invitation from the King!" she proclaimed sweetly. Checking the invitation carefully, front side and back side, the guard grinned and opened the gates.
"Proceed through these gates to the foyer. Once you are through the golden doors, turn right and head up the steps. Show this invitation to the guard outside the tallest of doors in the far hallway. He will let you in."
Hurrying and tippy-toeing through the directions, Princess Cindy showed the invitation to the last guard and the doors opened into the King's room.
"Welcome Princess Cindy! You are here so quickly! I have loved you and taken special care of you in order to give you a rather large task. Are you up for a King's Special Task? " he asked lovingly and sweetly to her glowing face.
"Oh yes! Oh yes!" replied the princess. I'd like to do anything you ask me to do. After all, I know that if you ask me to do anything, I know you will give me whatever I need to complete the task. You are a generous king! "
The king then took out a list of the Hyster Sisters and handed it to the princess. He explained that the list was rather long at times and had many details to take care of: Dates. Times. Procedures. Names. Addresses. He asked her to be the keeper of the list.
"Besides keeping this list for me, I have the most important task of all for you. Would you, while you keep this list, encourage these Ladies in Waiting and Punctured Princesses? Would you remind them that I, the King, care for them? Would you remind the Hyster Sisters to care for each other? "
Gulping back crocodile tears, Princess Cindy nodded her head. Then realizing the hugeness of this task, she smiled even bigger and yelled, "Yippy SKippy! I would be honored and privileged to have such a task! Yes, King! Yippy SKippy!" and off she ran (ever so carefully and still with her pillow in hand ).
The next morning she began her task set forth by the king. She loved looking through the list. She loved calling each Hyster Sister by name. And the Hyster Sisters gathered round Princess Cindy each day to hear the list and meet new faces. Hugging each other, the Hyster Sisters were so happy to hear of the king's love and care.
And they all lived happily ever after and were hormonally balanced forever. The End.
