Princess Shelly's Belly
Once upon a time in the Land of Hyster and on the Road of Recovery to be more exact, Princess Shelly trudged on. She was recovering from her most recent bout with gas. She was recovering from the effects of the sleep that was required by the king as the tailors did their work. Slowly she walked down the road and crawled back into bed. Each and every day she arose from her night's sleep, pushed her many pillows to one side and crawled out of bed. Usually she took one look out her window and then crawled right back into bed. She was tired from all the activity.
Finally, on one particular morning she rolled out of bed, noticed the sun was shining and decided to go visit some of her hyster sisters. Trying to find something suitable to wear, she took off her princess gown for her bedtime, and began to put on her day time clothes. Looking down at her tummy she noticed she was lumpy. She noticed she was swollen. She noticed that the new handiwork of the tailors was not flat, but had places on the area that were mis-shapened. She noticed that where her tummy was once a bit puffy, it was now not symmetrical! She was lopsided! Groaning as she examined her reflection in a mirror she pushed and tugged on the newly shaped stomach attempting to put it into the right shape. She attempted to pull in her tummy. She attempted to suck in her breath. Standing sideways again in front of the mirror she glanced at herself. "Oh dear!" said the princess. "I'm swollen and lumpy. Is this the new me? I don't think my clothes cover this!"
Pulling on her clothes halfway, she was determined to get to the bottom of this lumpy belly issue. She finished fixing her hair and righting her face and she headed out the door and down the road towards a group of hyster sisters who gathered each morning for a chat.
"Hello there, I need help!" she hollered. Half walking, half running, she waved at her sisters.
Glancing down the street they saw they recently punctured sister coming. "Oh no, they exclaimed. We forgot to tell her. She looks upset!"
Walking towards their sister, they caught her just as she was about to trip over her fuzzy slippers. "We forgot to tell you!" they all began at once. "Oh dear" they exclaimed and they rung their hands as they looked at her clothes half covering her tummy.
Pushing her hair up out of her eyes she looked at her sisters and then pointed at her belly. "Look at this! My belly is huge! My tummy is lumpy! Even my handiwork by those award winning tailors looks a mess. Why, I'm all out of shape. My belly is crooked!"
Hugging their sister close to their hearts they patted Princess Shelly's belly. "Oh yes," they began. "We forgot to tell you that once the handiwork is finished by the tailor, the king still has his work to do on your belly. Yes, it is swollen. And yes, it is a bit nonsymmetrical. In fact," they all giggled and rubbed her buddha belly, "we forgot how blimpish we all looked until the swelling goes down."
Relief flooded Princess Shelly's face. "Oh!" she exclaimed. "I was so sure that the tailors left a bolt of fabric in there or a child's beach ball and stitched me without noticing! I'm so relieved! When does the king finish this job?" she asked while pointing to her belly.
Smiling at their sister they reassured her that the king works at different rates with different sisters. "One day, you will wake up, notice the sun shining and while you are getting dressed you will recognize your old shape and know that the king's handiwork is done."
In the meantime, the sisters all gave Princess Shelly some clothes to wear that fit this strange shaped body. Princess Shelly's belly would be covered while she waited for the king's work. And so, the sisters had a spontaneous tea party with raspberry tea and cinnamon rolls right then to celebrate the sun shine and the beautiful blue sky in the Land of Hyster.
And they all lived happily ever after and were hormonally balanced forever. The End.
