Lady Jill and the Decision

Once upon a time there lived a lady named Jill who spent many days and nights feeling very badly. She visited the local townspeople trying to find answers to her sickness. She journeyed far away to ask for help. She read magazines, brochures, and books. She watched Oprah, Jenny and Montel. She spent all her time downtrodden and hurting as she looked for relief. She even bought a computer, ordered a phone line and went on a hunt through the internet.

Finally, as a last resort Ill Jill went to her real estate agent and inquired about a move to the Land of Hyster. The agent gave her more brochures to read. He gave her mountains of papers to read. He told her the cost of such a move. He gave her all the details he thought necessary to her decision and then left her to make up her mind. This lady sat for quite a while and thought long and hard. She gathered up all the papers and headed home to talk to her friends and family and get more advice. Finally, after lots of input from everyone, even the mailman, Jill decided to visit the Land of Hyster with the idea that it would be ONLY a visit. She would not move there unless she was sure it was the best place to live.

In no time at all, Lady Jill the Ill boarded a special airplane and landed in the Land of Hyster. RIght on the runway was a welcoming committee. The welcoming committee was a group of women, young and old, fat and skinny, tall and short, of every color imaginable who showed the lady their land. They didn't hand out more brochures or paper work. They didn't offer her free tickets to the coming concert as an enticement. They took her by the hand and walked over the land and answered questions for her. WHen she wasn't feeling well, they put a hot water bottle on her lap. When she was tired, they tucked her into bed. Each and every day they arranged for her to meet the hyster sisters: both the Ladies in Waiting and the Punctured Princesses.

The Ladies in Waiting met with Jill to tell their stories of how they came to live in the Land of Hyster awaiting their time to be punctured princesses. They told Jill their own stories of illnesses and how they had searched for answers everywhere too. They told Jill about the other places they had visited hoping to get well. Some had visited the Land of Ablation. Others had tried for years in the Land of Hormones. Some had even had a fright when a vacation in the Land of Pap had sent them on an unexpected emergency visit in the Land of Doom. Each Lady in Waiting had a story to tell. Each one had their own reasons for moving to the Land of Hyster. Lovingly, they told Lady Jill their stories as they gave her back rubs and made sure she had the necessary supplies to weather her storms as she made her decision.

The Punctured Princesses met with her too. They showed Jill the tailor's handiwork on their bellies. They told Jill about the Jungle of Hormones that some of the Punctured Princesses had to venture through. They told Jill about the Road of Recovery. They told Lady Jill about pillows (how many she would need) and about driving (she can't right after she becomes punctured). Making sure Lady Jill met with everyone, they arranged for a visit to the castle to meet the king. Leaving Lady Jill in the presence of the King, the Hyster Sisters slipped away to allow Lady Jill time to consider the costs of living in the Land of Hyster. They knew the king would help her with the decision.

The day arrived when Lady Jill's visit was over. Gathering on the runway next to the airplane, the Hyster Sisters all came to say goodbye and hug their new friend's neck. Lady Jill looked at the loving faces of the sisters. Thanking them for their time and love, she said, "Thank you also for not handing me another piece of paper. Thank you for telling me your stories. I have made my decision while I was with the king. It's been hard to consider, but I can no longer live anywhere else. I must fly home and make arrangements and adjust to my impending move. I'll return shortly to live in the Land of Hyster." And with tears falling down her cheeks, she turned and climbed into the airplane. Sitting near the window, she waved and smiled at her new friends who would soon become her sisters.

The Hyster Sisters all hugged knowing that when necessary, the Land of Hyster increased in population. The sisters all knew that the king would take care of this Lady Jill the Ill.

And they all lived happily ever after and were hormonally balanced forever.
