Hi Ladies,
My name is Marta, and I am a married, mother of one daughter, former special ed teacher, and currently work part-time doing college counseling, (hoping to go back to school in the near future for a master's in counseling).
I had my hyst on May 22, 2002, ending a pretty frantic two months of tests, stress and worry. After a routine gyn exam in late March, it was found I had a huge cyst (10 cm) and between that, fibroids, and possible endo, I was a big mess inside. My dr. suggested to take everything except the cervix out. I was shocked, and scared. I had no idea that I had all these problems going on inside my body! The surgery went well though, the cyst was benign (thank you Lord!) and my recovery went well. Doing research on hysts, I found this site. I truly cannot put into words how much finding other women going through the same situations has helped me. I'm looking forward to helping others as all of you have helped me.
Looking forward to meeting all of you.
Marta
