 Tales of My Hysterectomy

How I Came to be "The Leopard Lady"

I am 51 but oh! Such a young 51! I have a wonderful hubby with a wicked Irish sense of humor. Lots of laughter here! And 3 great step kiddos 32/28/22 I did it the easy way no diapers, no stretch marks! We have been together almost 16 fun filled years now. The two youngest {boys} lived with us off and on so I have been through those lovely teen years, but we all survived!

I grew up in Buffalo, New York Hamburg, actually. My mom was in labor 28 hours with me..breech birth and the Heat record was broken the day I was born. I always do things In a BIG way! Including my female life, which started at age 10. I always endured long cycles with heavy flow. Forty one years of that!

I have always had a grand appreciation for the bizarre. I so love little old ladies with fun stories! I want to be one someday! I often say..{only _ in jest}..that when I am old I will wear only Leopard print and black!

Diagnosis: uterine cancer Cure: TAH/BSO and laughter!

I was feeling pretty pitiful. I didn`t want to look pitiful,too! TA DA! Birth of the Leopard Lady was underway! Off to the castle I rode, toting my leopard costume! Nighties, robe, slippers, panties, body pillow, blanket, socks and mug! And of course, my version of the crown leopard print Mickey Mouse Ears! All packed in my leopard bag! My friends and family got quite a chuckle and were much comforted To know my sense of fun remained in tact. What a sight I was wandering the castle halls..{I even meowed a few times} They all call me Kaatie, Kaatie..the Leopard Lady now!
