I am sitting here trying to think of what to write about me. I can think of lots to say about everything else, but the words to let you know about me are hard to come through. I am 51 and have been married to my Michael for 31 years. I was 19 when we were married and now find that so young, because my one and only child my son, Ernie, is 19 and getting ready to turn 20. I just don't know where all those years have gone. I see myself as 32 and giving birth to him. I see a toddler running around, he never just walked, and I see me as a young Mother with a beautiful life. My life has not beeneasy, my Michael had a life threatening illness just after our 1stanniversary and for about 10 years had to have surgery each year. I almost lost him a couple times, one time to a respiratory arrest and one time to just plain neglect on his doctors part. He has survived and so have I. God gave me the one thing I wanted in my son the year we were married 12 years. The Doctors told him he probably wouldn't be able to have children after so many surgeries, they were on his colon and rectum, bad news for a man. They were wrong and God gave me my boy.
My son is the one most powerful thing on this earth that I live and breathe for. I love my husband but my love for my child is beyond anything I could ever imagine. During all his growing up years I had problems with my periods, but was a stay at home Mom and could lay down when I needed. After I started into college for the second time my periods were beginning to be so bad I was afraid to stand up and always looked to see if I had stained the chair. I was also having blackout spells. Suffering was what I did. And I am sure that everyone can relate to that. It was almost as if that was what I was suppose to do since I was a woman. But my life wasn't all bad, just a big part of it and it seemed to get worse each year after my son was born. I graduated from college and became a teacher. I went on to get2 more degrees and work at a lot of different schools. Last year the pain, and bleeding, discomfort became so bad I told my Doctor at my yearly checkup "can we take this out?" She agreed and away we went to the castle. I had all the usual things fibroids, cysts, endo, and ando. etc.
Well there is only now to tell you about. My Ernie is in college atUniversity of Kentucky, my Michael is a professor at Somerset TechnicalCollege, and I am homebound teacher for our county. We have a fur baby that rules our house. Her name is CKO (seeko). She got so sick about a year ago and because we were not familiar with the going on inside a cat we let her suffer for quite a while until I found her savior Dr. Jasper at out Vet Clinic. He took a stone from her bladder and she is back to her normal playful self. She also tells us when to sleep and when I should get up. Usually at around 5:30am.
So that is me hope I gave you a little insight into what I am all about. I also am in the finishing process of writing a children's book. The title will be Lucy and the Lost Letter L. Look for it in the book stores in a couple of years. Thanks for reading my bio. I love to talk and read. Keep coming to Hystersisters and check out their store great things are to be had there. I love it here and hope to stay awhile even though I am now months into my post-op. Bye and so long. See you in on the message boards.
