Dr. Acker is originally from Greenwich, Connecticut. She received both her undergraduate and M.D. degrees from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Dr. Acker completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at national Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and served at a number of naval facilities. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Medical Women's Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Brazos-Robertson County Medical Society. Dr. Acker is married and has two children. In her spare time, Dr. Acker volunteers as a chair of the Department of OB/GYN at St. Joseph Regional Health Center, volunteers for a number of hospital committees and Community Organization boards. She enjoys outdoor activities, cooking and sewing.
