How do I select a username?
We ask that you select your username carefully. Do not use your real name. Do not use a name that references you as "mom" as a kind gesture to the thousands of members who are grieving the loss of their ability to be a mother. We also suggest you use a username that is not one you normally use on other forums.

Can I change my username?
Your username should be carefully selected upon registration. Username instructions are apparent on the registration page. You may not change your username after you have registered. Choose carefully.

Why can't I add "Mom" to my username or mention my children in my signature?
This is a delicate and sensitive topic. We ask that you do not reference yourself as "mom" or mention your children in your username or signature out of respect for the thousands of our members who are grieving the loss of their womb, the loss of their ability to have children. The HysterSisters population is based on the removal of the womb. While many of our members have children prior to their hysterectomy, many do not. This is an upsetting surgery to many women. We thank you for your cooperation and tenderness to the pain of our members.
