This is a Phase III clinical trial (research study) of OvaRex® MAb (oregovomab) for women who have been diagnosed with Stage III/Stage IV ovarian cancer. OvaRex is a monoclonal antibody that targets CA125, a marker found in the blood associated with ovarian cancer. OvaRex is designed to help each patient’s immune system recognize ovarian cancer cells and fight their disease.

In this study, OvaRex is being used at a time shortly after successful front line therapy when there is no standard treatment. This period of time is called “watchful waiting”, and currently there are no approved products to treat ovarian cancer at this stage.
