February stats 02-11-2005 - 09:32 PM
It was another Curves weigh-in today. I lost one pound but am still up two from my last lowest weight so I am at 186. I had hoped to lose 5 pounds this past month but that didn't happen. I lost 1 1/4 inches from my hips though so that was good. The funny thing is though that is the least place I need to lose inches. I need losses in my boobs and belly. Even the gal who measured me said "you have no hips girl!" I did want to lose 1 1/2 inches this month so not too bad there. Thus far I have lost 32 3/4 inches in total off my body! All in all I am quite pleased and I am not going to stress over it any more. I feel good and look good so I am going to continue on with what I am doing. Maybe I'll get into the 170's after all!

Hi Emily, you WILL get into the 170's. I'm sure it must just be a matter of your metabolism readjusting, or fat being converted into muscle.
It's amazing how many inches you lost, I would continue to look at the positive side of how well you are doing.
I saw a man on the news last night, who claimed he lost 100 pounds by eating more peanut butter in his diet. He went from about 310 pounds down to under 200 pounds. I guess the idea is peanut butter is quite filling. Something about you still don't eat more than 6 or 7 tablespoons a day, but it fills you up better than some other foods.
I guess different things work for different people.

Keep up the great work. I bet things will get better for you when the weather improves, and we all get more active.

s, Anne

Hi, Emily!

We must have the same body type! I am slim through my hips and legs and put my weight on in my mid section and boobs! I hear women complain about the size of their hips and I have never known really what that feels like, which I am thankful for. I just wish my belly would go down and not explode over the top of my pants! I wish I could buy button down shirts without the buttons popping and exposing my bra!

I am sure you will get your weight lower, I can understand your frustration at the scale not moving (down). Have you checked out the section in the SBD about this point in your weight loss? I'm sure he addresses that part, don't you go back to phase 1?

Hang in there and don't give up, you have accomplished so much. I still can't get motivated to lose my lousy 15-20 pounds! Isn't that pathetic?!
